Keep an umbrella handy for Tuesday showers

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson has your rainy Tuesday forecast:

Clouds are moving in this morning and some of them will drop showers as you head out the door. With polls open today in some counties on this special election day you may want to take the umbrella with you just incase you get caught under a light shower. Temps will stay in the lower 70s by afternoon on a mild southwest breeze. Some of the heavier showers may turn into a thunderstorm that could drop some small hail thanks to very cold air overhead. rain chances today are solid at 50-60%. Clearing and cool by late tonight into the early morning hours of Wednesday.

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC)- Authorities arrested a 37-year-old woman in Summerville last week accused of posting fraudulent rental properties on Craiglist and collecting the money.

A release from the United States Department of Justice states US Marshals, Summerville police, and Dorchester County sheriff's deputies arrested 37-year-old Bethany Guyton Martinelli in the parking lot of the Walmart in Summerville last Friday.

Sheriff's office investigators said a number of tips prompted their investigation, which has resulted in a charge of felony fraud.

DOJ officials said Martinelli was also wanted by the Horry County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on a stolen vehicle and charge and a sheriff's office in Texas for felony property theft.  Her boyfriend, 41-year-old Brennan Scott Dennis, was also arrested at the parking lot for a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle tag.

Sunshine finally returns

Sunshine finally returns

It the SUN!

Finally some sunshine returns to the Lowcountry as rain and clouds are out of here for a while. Showers ended overnight and a clear sky has returned for the first day of the week. A large area of low pressure to our west will push dry air our way today and that will keep us mostly sunny, dry and mild with highs in the mid 70s.

Have a great Monday!

Larry Jackson. (Source: SPD)

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC)- Summerville Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man who went missing nearly a week ago.

Larry Jackson, 23, was last seen on Sunday, April 28 in the Brownsville Community.

Jackson's mother Rozena Bell said, "I think somebody killed him, that's what I believe."

Police say Jackson left a residence at 210 Boone Street around 3 p.m., and has not been seen by family or friends since. Attempts to make telephone contact with the missing man have failed. Family members say it is unlike Jackson to disappear.

"That's how I knew something was not right because he didn't call me. He didn't respond to nothing I was saying," said Larrika Cooper, Jackson's sister, "I commented on his Facebook page and he still didn't call me. Sunday night passed, Monday morning came and he still didn't call me."
