Man sought in Subway restaurant armed robbery | News
SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC)- Summerville police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant on Dorchester Road at gunpoint.
According to an incident report, the suspect entered Subway, located at 10125 Dorchester Road, Thursday, November 15 around 9:40 p.m. The suspect, who was wearing blue latex gloves and had a bandana covering his face, pulled out a black handgun and demanded money from the cash register.
Police say the male suspect tried to break into the restaurant's safe, but could not get it to open.
He then fled the store on foot, running towards a nearby Pizza Hut.
The report states officials attempted to track the suspect using a K-9 from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, but the scent was lost near building #23 of Colonial Place Apartments.
