Summerville woman wins $200K playing lottery | News
SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC)- Eight years of playing Palmetto Cash 5 has finally paid off for one Summerville woman.
A $2 quick pick purchased at Piggly Wiggly on Central Ave for the Tuesday, February 19 won her $200,000. The winning numbers were 16,24,29,35, and 36.
"I wanted to tell my husband first," she said.
The fun continued as she told a couple of her coworkers and later revealed the surprise to her daughter by using a flip book that read "I won $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5".
"It really hasn't sunk in yet," the winner told lottery officials when she cashed in the winning ticket.
The Piggly Wiggly in Summerville that sold the ticket received a commission of $2,000.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 1,003,884.
